There were so many awesome things that we learned about from Nathan in class today. I can't wait to go home and download a bunch of them on my own computer today. We learned about a website, www.storylineonline.net. It has a bunch of cute story books that are read by celebrities or other well known people, with activities that are great for school aged children. I think this would be so useful for a teacher to use when she needs a few minutes to enter a grade or to get a lesson together! I will simply be able to put a book on for the students to watch, so they are being enriched while I am able to get some last minute stuff done. I also liked the Celestia program. It was so cool to be able to feel like I was out exploring in space myself! I'm sure students will love it as well.
I am seriously amazed at how many online resources there are for teachers. the pioneer library site has endless possibilities of educational shows, games, websites, etc. I'm excited to explore it all, and find things that I can use in my own teaching career!
